Privacy Policy

This policy describes the information gathered during a visit, the reasons it is used, and the limited situations in which another service may receive it. By using Alamosa County Court Docket, you agree to these practices.

Data You Give Us Directly

Search Queries

A name, case number, or other term entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside company operating that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies its results. We do not retain or record those query terms on our systems.

Messages and Contact Submissions

When you email us, the message may be kept long enough to respond and maintain the exchange. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Data We Gather Automatically

Our servers automatically receive basic technical information when a page loads, including:

  • Page-view dates and times
  • Your device's IP address
  • Browser name and version
  • Operating system and device category
  • Pages viewed and approximate visit length
  • A referring website, when one is supplied

Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small files saved on a device. We and our analytics services use them to measure aggregate traffic, popular pages, and where visits end. You can block cookies in browser settings, although doing so may change how some functions behave.

What We Do With This Data

  • Directing a query to the selected search provider
  • Maintaining site speed, security, and availability
  • Finding and repairing technical faults
  • Measuring which resources visitors use
  • Displaying advertising that may reflect inferred interests

No Court-Record Data on File

Alamosa County Court Docket does not host, build, maintain, or sell a database of court files or personal case data. It publishes general directions to the Clerk of Court at Alamosa Combined Court, Colorado trial-court systems, and municipal custodians. Colorado court case files follow the Judicial Branch access framework, including CJD 05-01 and P.A.I.R.R. 1, rather than a generic CORA request. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party profiles.

Third-Party Search Partners

Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their privacy policies, retention periods, and disclosure rules apply to information submitted through those tools. We cannot control those practices, so review the provider's policy before running a query.

Links to Other Websites

Links may lead to the Colorado Judicial Branch, the Alamosa clerk, municipal pages, legal-help resources, or outside search tools. Once you leave this site, the destination's privacy terms control. Review them before providing personal information.

Advertising companies may also track activity across websites to select ads. Their own systems perform that tracking.

Who Might See Your Data

We do not sell personal information. Data may still be received by:

  • Analytics providers measuring performance and traffic
  • Search partners processing a query you submit
  • Advertising networks serving content on the pages
  • Government or law-enforcement bodies acting under a valid legal demand

How We Protect Your Data

Reasonable, commonly used safeguards protect information we handle. No internet system can guarantee complete security, however, and we cannot promise that unauthorized access will never occur.

Users Under 18

This service is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone younger than 18. If we learn that a minor supplied such information, we will remove it.

Your Data Rights

Rights can vary by residence and applicable law, including the Colorado Privacy Act, C.R.S. § 6-1-1301 et seq. Where the law applies, you may be able to:

  • Opt out of certain processing uses
  • Request deletion of covered personal data
  • Seek correction of inaccurate information
  • Ask to access covered information about you

Updates to This Policy

This policy may be revised. A new version will be posted here with its effective date when our practices or terms change.
